Friday shenanigans

BLeh, mostly spent the whole day just playing games as usual, and then did some little reorganizing here and there. I'm planning to make a painting workspace out of the top part of my cabinet. We'll see. I was supposed to be doing my homework/watercolor, but I ended up fiddling around with Flash and failing. OTL

I've tried my XpresRediSetGo cooking thing today, first for a veggie omelette (it did fine, though a little on the dry side for lack of oil I guess haha), and then dinner was a crispy potato recipe from the Xpress cookbook- I chose it because ma happened to give me a potato (just one) before I left home. I got to share some food with Colleen and the new webster peep Bo (industrial design) so besides potato chicken I also had black rice pudding with mangoes, then boiled black beans and a smidge of brownie cake for dessert.

I also finally got my N.Indian music book from the mail box. Kinda inconvenient that you can only pick up your packages from only 9:30-11:30pm, which sucks because most of the time I get back to the dorms just around 11:30.

Today

Apart from that:
-Updated a bit of GGK Trees
-Did more Kingdom Hearts
-JJ taught me and lal how to do some abdomen exercises
-Mami Aum took me and JJ to San Ramon, they dropped me off at Marie's to play with Makennah again (oh gods I missed that baby so much, she was all hyper giggles and squeals tonights TvT) while they practiced some driving and came back to drop me off at Khandee's.

Dimsum, Summer Wars and Furry Porn

Super fun day. XD Holy moley was Kevin's BF Syn (pronounced 'sin') really cute, and had this vibe of cute shotaro boy about him: quiet, super polite, well mannered and very endeared to Kevin lol. I had never been to a restaurant that exclusively catered to Dimsum only, so this was a wholly new experience for me trying out stuff that's not Hakka, Pork Shumai, Spareribs or Chicken feet.

After that, we walked back to Kevin's apartment (a couple of blocks from me and Q's dorm), while passing Chinese Lion dances on the streets (well it is Chinatown). At Kevin's apartment, we got to watch Summer Wars-

From the Studio that did the Girl Who Leapt through Time

Man this movie was fantastic: highly graphic and visual eye candy for their interpretation of the Internet and avatars, awesome action fight scenes (Q made fun of me for not being able to sit down from excitement when the movie got to it's climax), on top of which is a cast of hecka interesting (some funny, some endearing, some awesome) characters and a story about relationships and the importance of family.

After that was mostly looking through Kevin's wall of Furry FanArt from cons and a bookcase of Yaoi comics, both furry and not. XD
